ERM and DFA Using Active Knowledge Structures
نویسندگان
چکیده
Active, uncommitted knowledge structures are described as a means of representing risks with either a stochastic history or a hypothetical value, or a mixture of the two within a single risk. These same knowledge structures are shown to contribute to an increased speed of organizational response in a dynamic environment and to the ability of a simulation model to leam from its own operation.

Ezrin-radixin-moesin (ERM)-binding phosphoprotein 50 organizes ERM proteins at the apical membrane of polarized epithelia.
Ezrin-radixin-moesin (ERM) proteins regulate the organization and function of specific cortical structures in polarized epithelial cells by connecting filamentous (F)-actin to plasma membrane proteins. The contribution of ERM proteins to these structures depends on a conformational change to an active state in which the C-terminal region interacts with F-actin and the N-terminal domain interact...
متن کاملGlucose-induced ERM protein activation and translocation regulates insulin secretion.
A key step in regulating insulin secretion is insulin granule trafficking to the plasma membrane. Using live-cell time-lapse confocal microscopy, we observed a dynamic association of insulin granules with filamentous actin and PIP2-enriched structures. We found that the scaffolding protein family ERM, comprising ezrin, radixin, and moesin, are expressed in β-cells and target both F-actin and PI...
متن کاملEffects of Wrist Taping Pressures on the Maximum Dorsal Flexion Angle
This study aimed to examine the effects of different taping pressures with or without external force on the maximum dorsal flexion angle (DFA). Twenty-two healthy male university students with >5 years of athletic experience participated. A qualified trainer wound a rigid tape thrice around subject’s wrist joint. Taping pressure was measured using the pressure measuring system AMI3037-SB. Indep...
متن کاملDynamic cortical actin remodeling by ERM proteins controls BCR microcluster organization and integrity
Signaling microclusters are a common feature of lymphocyte activation. However, the mechanisms controlling the size and organization of these discrete structures are poorly understood. The Ezrin-Radixin-Moesin (ERM) proteins, which link plasma membrane proteins with the actin cytoskeleton and regulate the steady-state diffusion dynamics of the B cell receptor (BCR), are transiently dephosphoryl...
متن کاملEnterprise Risk Management and Performance of Financial Institutions in Iraq: The Mediating Effect of Information Technology Quality
Enterprise risk management represents a process of assessing exposure to risks in an institution. It is a systematic mechanism and a comprehensive tool for predicting events, including unexpected events, and their impacts. This paper is a conceptual study. It aims at designing a model for testing the mediation effect of information technology (IT) quality on the relationship between the enterpr...
